International Agreement
International Agreement in International Trade
Meaning of International Agreement, according to the Dictionary of International Trade (Global Negotiator): A broad term for legally binding arrangements covered by international law between or among countries. Such arrangements are variously titled as treaties, conventions, protocols, annexes, accords and memoranda of understanding, notes, pacts, declarations, statutes, constitutions and processes-verbal. The title is not an important factor in making distinctions among arrangements.
International Agreement
In French, accord is the equivalent of agrément (or agreement in English). The
term is, however, sometimes used in English, signifying an agreement of a greater or less
degree of informality. See McNair , Law of Treaties (2nd ed.), 24.[1]
