Bond
Bond
Bond (finance), interest-bearing certificate sold by corporations and governments to raise money for expansion or capital. An investor who purchases a bond is essentially loaning money to the bond’s issuer in return for interest. The investor can hold the bond and collect interest payments or sell the bond to a third party. (1)

Literature Review on Bond Banks
In the Encyclopedia of Public Administration and Public Policy, [1] Can Chen offers the following summary about the topic of Bond Banks, Infrastructure Banks, and State Revolving Funds: Traditional funding sources have not been able to meet the growing needs of preserving and improving an aging and deteriorating American public infrastructure system. In order to bridge the public infrastructure financing gaps, federal and state governments have turned to more creative ways of financing public infrastructure systems. This entry introduces and compares three major innovative infrastructure financing tools, which are emerging as alternatives to traditional public infrastructure financing methods. The entry concludes with a discussion on the future prospects of innovative infrastructure financing tools.
