In relation to the GATT Policy Negotiations, Christopher Mark (1993) provided the following explanation and/or definition of Punta del Este Declaration: A declaration adopted by trade ministers of GATT member countries in September 1986 at Punta del Este, Uruguay, launching the Uruguay Round of multilateral trade negotiations.
