Licensee in International Trade

Meaning of Licensee, according to the Dictionary of International Trade (Global Negotiator): A person to whom a license has been granted to use someone else's specified thing such usually of intellectual property (trademark, patents, know how). The person with the ownership rights which are voluntarily compromised by extending the license, is called a licensor. The legal arrangement by which this occurs is called a license. There are many types of licence agreement. The most used in international trade are the International Manufacturing License Agreement and the International Trademark License Agreement
