Summary of Weight Or Measurement

A provision in a carrier's tariff that permits the carrier, in those cases where the tariff provides both weight and measurement rates for the same product, to use either rate at its option. Essentially, the carrier is authorized to use either rate in order to achieve the greatest revenue.
