Trade-Related Investment Measures (TRIMs) and the GATT Policy Negotiations

In relation to the GATT Policy Negotiations, Christopher Mark (1993) provided the following explanation and/or definition of Trade-Related Investment Measures (TRIMs): Designation for a Uruguay Round “' negotiating group examining the adequacy of current GATT rules with respect to investment measures that restrict or distort trade –such as local content and export performance requirements –and negotiating new rules to limit their adverse trade effects.
