Rollback and the GATT Policy Negotiations

In relation to the GATT Policy Negotiations, Christopher Mark (1993) provided the following explanation and/or definition of Rollback: A commitment to phase out all trade restrictions or policies that distort trade or bring them into conformity with GATT rules. Under the rollback commitment made at the outset of the Uruguay Round, participants are not to seek compensatory concessions for rollback measures.
