Summary of Resource Orientation

The act of locating a manufacturing facility near its source of raw materials. It usually occurs in cases where the cost of transporting the raw materials significantly exceeds the cost of transporting the finished product. See Marketing Orientation, Weight Gaining, Weight Losing.
