Door-to-airport in International Trade

Meaning of Door-to-airport, according to the Dictionary of International Trade (Global Negotiator): A contract carriage whereby a single carrier undertakes transportation responsibility from the point where the shipment originates (usually the seller's door) to a designated airport on the buyer's side. Unless the seller is physically located at an airport, door-to-airport transportation includes pre-carriage and main carriage, but does not include on-carriage.
