Debate in Election Law

Face-to-face exchange between candidates, usually televised, during which they speak about election issues, promote their political programmes and highlight their qualifications and ability to lead. These exchanges can take place at various levels of political representation, but the most closely followed involve presidential candidates. During such debates, journalists and sometimes ordinary citizens may be allowed to ask questions.
