Constitutional Court in Constitutional Law
From the Comparative Constitutions Project: A Constitutional Court is a high court found in many countries which deals primary with constitutional law. Its main authority is to rule on whether or not challenged laws (and sometimes administrative acts) are in fact unconstitutional, and conflicting with constitutionally established rights and freedoms.
Constitutional Court in Election Law
A court that rules on whether laws comply and are compatible with the constitution. In some political systems, this court is also responsible for election-related disputes, in particular during presidential elections.
