Use of State Resources in Election Law

Means made available by the state to individuals or political parties when they are officially candidates for election. The law should make provision to ensure that resources are allocated in a spirit of fairness, allowing everyone to stand for election and campaign on an equal footing. Resources can be financial (allocating a certain amount of money to a campaign, or the reimbursement of campaign expenses under certain conditions) or in kind (access to public buildings for election meetings, provision of security forces).
