ICE Clause in International Trade
Meaning of ICE Clause, according to the Dictionary of International Trade (Global Negotiator): A standard clause in vessel chartering, dictating the course that a vessel master may take if the ship is prevented from entering the loading or discharge port because of ice, or if the vessel is threatened by ice while in port. The clause establishes the rights and obligations of both vessel owner and charterer in these events occur.
