On Board Bill Of Lading
Summary of On Board Bill Of Lading
An ocean bill of LADING (read this and related legal terms for further details) bearing the carrier’s endorsement “on board”or words of like import stipulating that the cargo covered by the bill of lading has been physically loaded aboard the vessel for transit. Customarily, bills of lading requiring the “on board”endorsement are not released by the carrier to the shipper until the vessel has actually sailed.
