Summary of Channel Length
The length of a channel of distribution, as evidenced by the number of distributors, dealers, or other intermediaries involved in moving the product from the manufacturer to the final user or consumer. Typically, the channel length will be shorter for heavy industrial goods than for low-priced or consumer items.
