Note: there is more information on the Asian/Chinese legal Encyclopedia. Notion of of Deng Xiaoping: Reformist leader of China from 1978 to 1992 and successor to Mao Zedong. Deng Xiaoping was responsible for redirecting China toward a market economy and turning away from certain hardline Maoist principles.[1]
