In the Encyclopedia of Public Administration and Public Policy, [1] Sonia M. Ospina and James F. O'Sullivan provide the following summary about the topic of Diversity: Diversity management in the public sector, as in any organization, is a multidimensional challenge that requires permanent and focused managerial attention. Proponents of diversity management suggest that organizations must be able to realistically diagnose the status of their organization to determine the right strategies for diversity management, and several schema have been developed for that purpose.
