Zoning Definitions
One of the significant sections in any piece of legislation is the section which defines many of the important terms used in that legislation. Now as we know these definitions are often the product of legislative drafting rather than being reflective of definitions in common usage in the field which the legislation covers. In addition, like any publication legislation is a product of its time and reflects the thinking of that time. Unless the legislation is constantly amended aspects of it cannot keep pace with developments in society generally. A significant example of this process is the definition of Zoning.
