In relation to the GATT Policy Negotiations, Christopher Mark (1993) provided the following explanation and/or definition of Working Requirement: A term associated with the lapse of intellectual property protection –or the granting of compulsory licenses –if a patented invention, trademarked good, or copyrighted work is not produced or sold within a specified period of time.
