United States views on international law (based on the document “Digest of U.S. Practice in International Law”): On September 26, 2011, the Senate provided its advice and consent to ratification of the Treaty between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of Bermuda relating to Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters, signed at Hamilton on January 12, 2009. S. Treaty Doc. No. 111-6 (2010). The Senate provided its advice and consent subject to a declaration that the treaty is “self executing.” 157 Cong. Rec.
