Technology Policy and International Trade Economy

In relation to international trade economy, Christopher Mark (1993) provided the following definition of Technology Policy: Government measures or programs to promote innovation and adoption of new technologies in key industries. Such tools include government sponsorship of research consortia, support for research and development (R&D), trade measures, and special antitrust exemptions for joint R&D efforts among firms.
