Tale Quale
Summary of Tale Quale
Literally, “as it arrives”; used in contract for shipment of grain in bulk to signify that the consignor will accept the goods in whatever condition they arrive, so long as they were in good order at time of shipment, as evidenced by a certificate of quality issued by an impartial inspection agency. This condition arises most commonly when the grain is shipped in dry-cargo type vessels, rather than tankers. See also rye terms.
