Sales Representative in International Trade
Meaning of Sales Representative, according to the Dictionary of International Trade (Global Negotiator): An individual or firm that serves as the foreign representative of a domestic supplier and seeks sales abroad for the supplier. The Representative carries out his/her activity continuously and is paid by commission based on sales achieved, although on occasions there may be agreement as to the payment of fees for management and representation expenses. In international markets relationships between sales representative and his/her clients are governed through an International Sales Representative Agreement. See agent; distributor.
