Meaning of Royalties, according to the Dictionary of International Trade (Global Negotiator): Compensation for the use of a person’s or company’s intellectual property rights based on an agreed percentage of the income arising from its use (e.g. to an author on sale of his/her book, to an inventor for the use of his/her patent, to a company for the use of its trademark, etc.).
