Literature Review on (Policy Analysis) Policy Sciences Approach

In the Encyclopedia of Public Administration and Public Policy, [1] Peter deLeon and Christine R. Martell provide the following summary about the topic of (Policy Analysis) Policy Sciences Approach: This entry describes the policy sciences, which have a unique approach to problem solving. The first part develops the evolution of the underlying assumptions of the policy sciences, while the second sets out an analytic framework derived from the policy sciences as a means of viewing policy decisions. Finally, a brief hypothetical example of how the policy sciences approach would be utilized in the “real world” is presented, based on a major highway and light rail construction project in Denver, Colorado.
