Per Procuration
Summary of Per Procuration
A signature or endorsement on a bill of exchange, check, or other document performed by an agent under a limited authority granted by the principal. An endorsement per procuration (indicated as “per proc.,””per pro.,”or “P.P.”) gives notice that the agent's authority is limited, and the recipient of a document so signed should ascertain the agent's authority, which must be given by the agent.
