Packaging Film in International Trade

Meaning of Packaging Film, according to the Dictionary of International Trade (Global Negotiator): Packaging film can produce a tightly wrapped package and is particularly useful in unitizing smaller packages on pallets. There are two types in common use: shrink film and stretch film. Shrink film, also called shrink wrap, contracts when heated after packing; stretch film attempts to return to its original dimensions after packing without the necessity of heat application.
