Multilateral Nuclear Environment Programme in the Russian Federation (“MNEPR”) in 2013
United States views on international law [1] in relation to Multilateral Nuclear Environment Programme in the Russian Federation: On May 14, 2013, the U.S. deposited its instrument of acceptance to the MNEPR. The MNEPR creates an international programme which aims to foster cooperation and assistance to the Russian Federation in regards to the safety of spent nuclear fuel and radioactive waste management. The United States joined the MNEPR prior to signing a bilateral Protocol to the MNEPR in June, providing for ongoing cooperative threat reduction activities by the United States and Russia.
