Lottery

Lottery in Election Law

System used for a single ballot that features a number of candidates or political parties. If alphabetic order is not chosen as the system for sorting candidates, a lottery is organised to decide in which order candidates or political parties will appear on the ballot paper. This lottery is usually organised by the electoral administration.
