Literature Review on Intelligence Cycle

In the Encyclopedia of Public Administration and Public Policy, [1] David M. Keithly offers the following summary about the topic of Intelligence Cycle: The intelligence community has developed a process described by the term “intelligence cycle” that divides the intelligence effort into six phases: 1) planning and direction, 2) collection, 3) processing and exploitation, 4) production, 5) dissemination and integration, and 6) continuous evaluation. These phases, which are part of a cycle, do not necessarily occur sequentially.
