Importer in International Trade
Meaning of Importer, according to the Dictionary of International Trade (Global Negotiator): The individual, firm or legal entity that brings articles of trade from a foreign source into a domestic market in the course of trade.
A party responsible for customs clearance of imported goods. Some countries define importer as the party responsible for payment of duty on imported goods, or an authorized agent acting on behalf of that party.
