Green Room Consultations and the GATT Policy Negotiations
In relation to the GATT Policy Negotiations, Christopher Mark (1993) provided the following explanation and/or definition of Green Room Consultations: Informal meetings of heads of delegations to the GATT Uruguay Roundnegotiations. Such meetings, usually convened to resolve procedural problems, take their name from a conference room adjacent to the Director-General's office at GATT Headquarters in Geneva.
