Freight Collect in International Trade

Meaning of Freight Collect, according to the Dictionary of International Trade (Global Negotiator): A shipping arrangement whereby the carrier collects its freight charges from the consignee rather than from the shipper. This usually happens when the contract of carriage is between the carrier and the consignee. Also called freight payable at destination (FPAD).
