Fair Trade and International Trade Economy

In relation to international trade economy, Christopher Mark (1993) provided the following definition of Fair Trade: International trade involving shipments that do not benefit from government assistance. Fair trade –and the related concept of unfair trade practices ( Sec .I) –is almost always used in the context of policies or practices affecting exports, while free trade usually refers to the absence of barriers to imports.
