Current Scenario of Youth Entrepreneurship in India, the Law and other Social Sciences

Entrepreneurship is gaining added attention in the present economic predicament. Entrepreneurship is not only a key facet of economic dynamism but also an imperative for economic growth, productivity, innovation and employment. Hence, many countries have made entrepreneurship especially youth entrepreneurship an explicit policy priority. As globalisation reshapes the international economic landscape and technological change creates greater uncertainty in the world economy, youth entrepreneurship is believed to offer new ways to meet economic, social and environmental challenges. Entrepreneurship objectives and policies differ among countries, due to diverse perspectives and policy needs yet, youth unemployment is a cause of concern for many. Through grounded theory approach and based on review of policy documents and secondary data, the chapter aims to provide contemporary perspective on youth entrepreneurship with reference to India and hopes to enhance and bring improvement in the policies as ultimately, policy making must be guided, as far as possible, by evidence and facts.[1]

Entrepreneurship, the Law and other Social Sciences

Many people will agree on the idea that entrepreneurship is one of the most important business concepts in recent days. In addition, it is said that we are experiencing the fourth industrial revolution (or “Industry 4.0). Information and communication technologies are one of the key elements of this period. Therefore, some information about these two components, “entrepreneurship” and “information and communication technologies”, are given and the possible and strong relationships between them are discussed in this study.[1]

Entrepreneurship – the Vantage Point, the Law and other Social Sciences

Entrepreneurship is the impetus for development of any nation. Entrepreneurship is a revolution to ignite the minds of low spirited youth and would be considered as a means to revolutionize enterprises. Industrialization and entrepreneurship go on same lines as the former created foundation for current modernized Indian enterprises, so does later. ‘Ideas are many but execution is a cup of few’. There are many people who come up with different ideas at every point, but entrepreneurs are the one who pull off rabbit out of the magic hat. In today’s world entrepreneurship has become an act of inspiration which eventually have a compounding effect on society, benefiting the mankind. India is going through a new phase where one is going to witnesses old wine in a new bottle i.e., start-ups, which is nothing but an act of entrepreneurship, being the vantage point to all businesses. The purpose of the chapter is to articulate the potential importance, the word entrepreneurship holds and the tools of IT used in entrepreneurial development.[1]

Entrepreneurship Concept, Theories, and New Approaches, the Law and other Social Sciences

This chapter deals with the concept and theories of entrepreneurship that can be defined as the type of business strategy focused on the creation of new business ideas, jobs, social wealth, and profit by optimizing the use of productive and commercial resources. Neoclassical and New Keynesian theories are briefly analyzed in the chapter, as well as Psychological-based and Modern theories, including the Jack-of-all Trades Theory, O-Ring Theory, Resources- and Capabilities-based Theory, and Theory of the Optimal Triangle. The chapter finishes with the necessity of also including both social and solidarity-based entrepreneurship strategies, alongside the traditional classification made on this concept.[1]
