Election Process
Election Process in Election Law
Set of legal measures and concrete operations needed to hold an election. A starting point may be a writ or decree calling voters to vote in a particular election and may require the adoption of an electoral law. The election process includes voter registration, the nomination of candidates, the election campaign, voting, the vote count, the publication of results and the resolution of electoral disputes. These phases are interconnected and must be regulated to ensure genuine, democratic, transparent and honest elections.
