Duty Suspension and the GATT Policy Negotiations

In relation to the GATT Policy Negotiations, Christopher Mark (1993) provided the following explanation and/or definition of Duty Suspension: A temporary , unilateral reduction in tariffs. Duties are sometimes suspended to ease shortages of needed imports, or “to lower the cost of products not available domestically.
