Deadweight Loss and International Trade Economy

In relation to international trade economy, Christopher Mark (1993) provided the following definition of Deadweight Loss: The net cost to society due to market imperfections or government interventions such as trade restrictions –i.e., losses by consumers or producers that are not offset by gains elsewhere, such as increased government revenues.
