Summary of Customary Business Practices

Practices and patterns of behavior that are of long standing and generally well known throughout an industry, and that are accepted without governmental mandate. In the case of disputes, a court or other body may incorporate customary business practices into the context of the agreement, and may thereby infer the intent of the parties where that intent is not specifically defined.
