Country Reports on Human Rights Practices in 2011

United States views on international law (based on the document “Digest of U.S. Practice in International Law”): On April 8, 2011, the Department of State released the 2010 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices. The Department of State submits the document annually to Congress in compliance with §§ 116(d) and 502B(b) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 (“FAA”), as amended, and § 504 of the Trade Act of 1974, as amended. These reports are often cited as a source for U.S. views on various aspects of human rights practice in other countries.
