Convention on Settlement of Investment Disputes Between States and Nationals of Other States and the GATT Policy Negotiations

In relation to the GATT Policy Negotiations, Christopher Mark (1993) provided the following explanation and/or definition of Convention on Settlement of Investment Disputes Between States and Nationals of Other States: A multilateral agreement, signed among World Bank member states in 1965, that established theInternational Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (Sec. IIl). Signatories committed themselves to recognize decisions and arbitral awards in investment disputes referred to the Center as binding.
