Consignment Contract in International Trade

Meaning of Consignment Contract, according to the Dictionary of International Trade (Global Negotiator): A contract by which a seller (consignor) delivers goods to an individual or entity (consignee) that will sell them. For goods sold, the consignee will remit the price to the consignor less a commission. Goods not sold may be returned to the consignor.
