•Accountant Search – Search by name, city or state. Records include: “Name, Address, City and State, CPA Certificate Number, CPA Certificate Status, CPA Certificate Issue date, CPA License Number, CPA License or Registration Status, CPA License or Registration Expiration Date, CPA Firm Permit Number, CPA Firm Status, and CPA Firm Permit Expiration Date.”

Administrative Services, Department of
•State Contract Portal – Locate contracts and Bid/RFP results. Search by keyword, vendor, contract number or commodity.

Commission on Culture and Tourism

Culture Connect – Find stuff to do from book readings to world affairs events. Search by date, type of event, or zip code.

Consumer Protection, Department of

License Verification – Must specify licensing board, then search by name, business name, city, state, or zip code. Records contain license status and expiration date.

•Wethersfield Prison Records – Records relating to prisoners at the Wethersfield State Prison, 1800-1903

Corrections, Department of
•Inmate Information Search – Unlike a number of states, this database includes information on people incarcerated while awaiting trail, so as the web site says, being in this database doesn’t necessarily mean that one is a convicted criminal. Database is searchable by name, date of birth or state identification number. Records include offense imprisoned for an projected release date.

Court System / Judicial Branch
Attorney /Firm Inquiry – From the website, “This search displays information about firms and about attorneys who are active or who are currently suspended, administratively suspended (for failure to pay the Client Security Fund fee), disbarred, inactive, inactive due to disability (pursuant to Practice Book § 2-56 et seq.), retired, resigned and deceased.”Records provide addresses.
•Civil/Family Case Detail – Search for case information, including last 10 motions. Requires case number.
•Party Name Search for Civil and Family Cases – May be searched by name, location, and case category. Records include case number with hyperlink to more case information including attorneys, parties and motions.

Economic and Community Development, Department of
•CTHousingSearch – Find affordable rental housing by picking a city and using search criteria including number of bedrooms, rent range, zip code and access to public transit.

Education , Department of
•Connecticut Schools on the Web – From the website, “You can search by School Name, Town/City, or Category — elementary, middle school, high school, regional vocational tech schools and charter schools. Enter any partial string of letters”Records include contact information and school website, if available.

Labor, Department of
•Connecticut Workforce Investment System Approved Training Programs – Search – Searchable database of training programs. Database can be searched by region, subject of training or by provider same. Database supports truncation. Records provide contact information, estimates for costs and time commitments, and prerequisites.

•Facility Licensure Verification

Public Safety, Department of

Sex Offender Registry – Searchable by last name, town name and zip code. Records include photograph, date of birth, physical description, registration offense.

Public Utility Control, Department of
•Docket Databases – Search for documents relating to public untilities. Most documents are in Microsoft Word 97 format.

Secretary of State
•Business Search – Search by business name, filing number or business ID.
•Search – Searchable by lien number, debtor name, business name or personal name.

State Comptroller, Office of
•Bond Allocation Database – Track state bond spending with this database. Searchable by Recipient Category, Funds Use, Program Area, by Municipality, Project Description Field, Recipient Category and Program Area, Municipality and Program Area

State Elections Enforcement Commission
•Campaign Reporting Information System (eCRIS) – Provides information on financial disclosures by officials, candidates, PACs and parties. A video demo is available.

State Ethics, Office of
•Lobbyist Reporting System – Search by lobbyist name, organization name, or business name.
