Combined Transport Bill Of Lading
Summary of Combined Transport Bill Of Lading
A bill of lading covering movement of goods through more than one carrier, and perhaps through several modes of transport (water, air, rail, motor). The issuer of a combined transport bill of lading assumes responsibility for the goods throughout the journey until final destination, but his legal liability for the cargo, in monetary terms, may be governed by the laws or bill of lading conditions of the underlying carriers hired to perform transport services.
