Civic Education

Civic Education in Election Law

Didactic programme that takes into account the relationship between citizen participation and democracy, in particular the role and responsibility of the individual, government, political organisations, interest groups and the media. The objective is both to inform citizens of their rights and encourage them to take part in public life. Civic education is ongoing and is not specifically linked to the electoral calendar. It can nevertheless include voter information and education.
