Legal: The National People’s Congress posts a free Database of Laws and Regulations. Lexis and Westlaw both have some translated Chinese legal materials.ChinaLawInfo and Westlaw ChinaLaw are subscription-based commercial sites that provide Chinese legal materials in English.

Commercial Laws of the World and Tax Laws of the World, both part of RIA’s World Wide Tax Law Service and available by subscription through Checkpoint, provide English translations of China’s corporate, tax and other business laws. CCH publishes multi-volume sets called China Laws for Foreign Business (updated by a periodical called China Law News) and the China Business Law Guide. The Basic Law of Macau is posted at www.umac.mo/basiclaw/english/main.html.

MLex provides English translations of Chinese merger decisions and court judgments.

5-Year Plans are generally published in March of the year they began, generally in theBeijing Review. In 2003 China disbanded the agency that developed 5-Year Plans, signaling an end to centralized planning of the economy, but an 11th Five-Year “Guideline” was published in 2006. A 12th Five-Year “Guideline” was published in 2011.

Representation to China: International Incident

In the book “International Incidents for Discussion in Conversation Classes”, in relation to this subject, L. Oppenheim wrote in 1909: On Jan. 15th, 1909, after the dismissal of Yuan-Shih-Kai, the British and the American diplomatic envoys at Peking called by appointment on Prince Ching, who, as president of the Grand Council and the Wai-wu-pu, is the highest official of the Chinese Empire. The purpose of the appointment was to make a joint representation on the part of the two powers regarding the dismissal, without any given reason, of Yuan-Shih-Kai, whose services to the cause of order, stability, and progress in China had inspired such confidence in their two governments.
