Call number in Law Libraries

The follow definition of Call number is of use in law library research: An identification number assigned to a library collection item (e.g. book, video recording, musical score) which allow library users to locate the item in the collection or to request (“Call”) the item from a closed stack area. Collections in Big libraries in the United States are identified with Library of Congress call numbers.
