The following commentary about Balkans in the Churchill Era is produced by the Churchill College (Cambridge): Area centred around the Balkan Peninsula, comprising Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, as well as smaller Greek and Serb states. The scene of intense competition between the Great Powers, made worse by nationalism in the Balkan states.
