Anticircumvention Duty and the GATT Policy Negotiations

In relation to the GATT Policy Negotiations, Christopher Mark (1993) provided the following explanation and/or definition of Anticircumvention Duty: A term used by the European Community for penalty charges imposed on the output of Japanese screwdriver assemblies (Sec. 11) in Europe; subsequently found in violation of GATT rules by a dispute settlement panel.
