A national economy in which sustained and significant efforts are directed toward increasing agricultural productivity. Inherent to success of the program is a significant contribution of the national wealth to agricultural projects and vigorous efforts on the part of industries that provide inputs to the agricultural sector. As a practical matter, a high degree of economic central planning at the governmental level is required to orchestrate the various inputs necessary to achieving an agro-industrial complex.
